A journalism graduate, Angeline Teh is a Malaysian creative documentary filmmaker. Her experience as a radio producer ignited her interest in unfolding stories of the ordinary in a subtle way and yet visually and aurally vivid. Her films engage with intimate portraits that capture the simple while powerful stories from everyday life.

Her first documentary short, READING YOU won Best Student Documentary at 22nd Tirana Film Festival. The film also competed at the Southeast Asian Short Film Competition (34th Singapore International Film Festival 2023) and the 47th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2025.

She continues developing the story into a feature, that explores the intergenerational trauma within her family history through her mother’s diaries and letters.

In 2021, she received a full scholarship and graduated with Magna cum Laude in 2023 from DocNomads Joint Masters Degree programme in Europe.
